    Description

    Tussah Silk is a natural wild silk, not cultivated or raised on farms like mulberry silk. This tussah is a natural beautiful golden color. The color can be different in Tussah because the source of the food for the tussah moths are different. Since the tussah cocoons are found in the wild, they are less lustrous and the fiber is slightly coarser than cultivated or farm raised mulberry silk. Tussah silk is said to be easier to spin than mulberry because it is not as slippery. It is ideal to use in carding with other fibers, adding to wool for felting and spinning all by its beautiful self.
