50 Cent Third Issue Fractional Currency, Fr# 1324, autographed signatures of Colby and Spinner. Graded 64 PPQ (premium paper quality) by PCGS.  Well margined, beautifully bright, and strictly original. A popular example of autographed red back design. Certainly one of the finest available. The third issue of Fractional Currency started at the end of 1864 with the war going full blast. As the quality of fractional notes improved, so did the quality of the counterfeits of the earlier issue notes. This, and the ever increasing demand for "small change", made a design change necessary. The third issue started signatures on the notes, some printed and some autographed. There are red and green backs, plain paper and fiber paper, different surcharges and different sheet position indicators. This is also the only issue to have 3 cent notes.
