    Description

    Original Cunard RMS Queen Mary - Crown Bone China Candy Dish made in England. Up for auction is vintage Staffordshire Crown Fine Bone China candy dish with the image of the Queen Mary. Queen Mary sailed on her maiden voyage on May 27, 1936. With the outbreak of World War II, she was converted to a troop ship. Following the war, she was refitted and returned to a passenger ship along with the Queen Elizabeth. Following her retirement in 1967, she remains permanently moored in the port of Long Beach, California.
    The candy dish is a wonderful piece of history.
    It was obtained in the 1950s.
    It shows no use and the gold gilding is bright. The candy dish is in perfect condition and has been treasured.
