8x20 inch reproduction "giclèe" fine art archival print scanned from the original rare antique tattoo flash painted by berg probably in the 1910s or 20s.
this print was professionally printed and produced on 100 weight, archival, matte paper using only fade-resistant, archival, pigment-based inks. this sheet is the closest to the original sheet as could be possibly made. colors on this one are amazing.
thomas/tom berg was a mysterious tattooer who painted some of the most beautiful (and rarest) tattoo flash ever done.  he was known to have tattooed in ans around the san francisco area between 1890s to the 1930s.  he was surrounded by the gritty opium dens, bars, prostitution dens and lawless environment of the legendary barbary coast area in downtown SF and his art reflects this desperate chaos in his unique beautiful way.
