Cunard Line  Ronson Standard Cigarette Lighter, c. 1940 - 50s.

Description

Handsome Ronson lighter with stylish Cunard funnel logo design on the side, which may have had a painted or enamel inlay when new. Opposite side has a simple rectangular block design. The bottom markings include 'Ronson'- 'Trade Mark'- 'Standard" - 'Made in England' and British patent numbers.
2" tall x 1-3/4" wide, the condition is consistent with wear, no serious scratches, or dings.
Lighter has no wick, and I believe the flint is worn out, but it could be made serviceable again!
Sale will include the box the lighter came to me in- from "Peter Bird - Goldsmith and Jeweler" of Folkstone. I don't know if this was from the original purchase.
