antique Sterling 1.353 Kilos Silver Georgian Florentine Platter Salver Lot Scrap. I feel like this probably weighed 100g more of oxygen before I got after it. You can see in the pictures. It is VERY old. I am qualified to say it is Silver and it is hand tooled (meticulously) you can see in the pictures I couldn’t get enough polish into some nooks and crannies. I conducted a nitric, magnet (rare earth), ice (it is still cool seeing ice almost instantly melt on a cold tray), smell, and obviously tarnish test to 100% pass. I am not qualified to assess the provenance. I believe it to be French from around 1820, but I cannot say for certain. I need to turn inventory so I am pricing this to move quickly. Silver has been as high as 90¢ a gram and is projected to keep climbing. However, I am starting this auction for as much as 1200$ of silver (and perhaps much more of provenance can be established) at 9 with a buy it now of 975. I’ll leave the offers open as well.
