For more than 2,000 years, the Dragon has been revered in Chinese culture as a representation of strength, authority and good luck.
Issued by Australia as legal tender to commemorate the symbolism of the Chinese Dragon, this rectangular, proof, 1oz Silver Dragon is struck from .9999 fine silver. The reverse which was designed by Jennifer McKenna features a Chinese Dragon surrounded by clouds reaching for an elusive flaming pearl along with a (P) mint mark. The obverse, like most Australian coinage depicts designer Jody Clark's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in addition to the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA", "1oz 9999 Ag", "1 DOLLAR" and "2019". .
Each of these 2019 P .9999 fine silver 1oz Silver Proof Dragon Rectangle's were struck at the Perth Mint and have been certified PF70 Ultra Cameo by NGC!! Extremely limited!! Only 3,888 of these were struck and ONLY 74 have been certified PF70 Ultra Cameo according to the NGC pop report!!
