    Description

    2016  Gods of Olympus: POSEIDON
    Ultra Low Mintage of 1000
    Cook Islands
       2 Ounce Silver
    Uncirculated - High Relief
NGC certified graded & authenticated as Mint State 70 antiqued
The reverse of the coin depicts a bearded Poseidon emerging from the waves with his two hippocampi, clutching his trident. The inscription POSEIDON also appears in the design . The obverse portrays the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2016 year-date.
To capture the depth and detail of the design, the coin is struck in high relief to a rimless format. Each coin has been individually 'antiqued' to give it a unique finish conveying the surface of an ancient artifact. As a result of this treatment the appearance of each coin has a slight variation.
